Early-twentieth-century stock, mostly well kept, mostly with one bad decade in its history.

These houses were built solid and have generally been looked after, which means the restoration work here is less rescue and more correction. Undoing a period of enthusiastic updating, finding the original floor under three later ones, working out which mouldings are real.

It is careful, patient work rather than dramatic work, and it is a good deal of what we do within walking distance of downtown. We restore what is genuinely there and are honest about what is not.
