At 5111 St. Elmo Avenue we restored a heritage-listed Victorian cottage: the original mantel brought back with its carved relief, fluted pilasters and period corbels intact, and a new two-tone furniture-grade kitchen in white and deep charcoal with brushed brass and Carrara marble. Old detail kept, new work honest about being new. In a district like this that balance is the whole job.
