At 5111 St. Elmo Avenue we restored a heritage-listed Victorian cottage without sanding away what made it worth listing.
Heritage Restoration in St. Elmo
The original mantel came back with its carved decorative relief, fluted pilasters and period corbels intact. That work is the reason people call us for St. Elmo houses: much of this neighborhood sits inside a protected district, and the detail is exactly what a fast crew skips out and calls progress.
James trained on heritage-listed homes and stone churches in Ireland and on twelfth-century castles in Europe before a decade of landmark restoration in Sydney. Traditional plaster, stonework and joinery, matched to the era of the house rather than approximated.
We work St. Elmo Avenue, Virginia Avenue and across the rest of 37409. More on St. Elmo and the neighborhoods we build in.

Our work in St. Elmo
A heritage-listed Victorian-era cottage in one of Chattanooga's most beloved historic neighbourhoods. Original Victorian mantel restored with carved decorative relief, fluted pilasters, and period corbels. A new two-tone furniture-grade kitchen in crisp white and deep charcoal with brushed brass hardware and Carrara marble.
We take on a select number of projects each year in St. Elmo and across Hamilton County. Tell us about your home and your timeline.
