    Heritage Restoration on North Shore

Bungalow detail is quieter than Victorian detail, and easier to lose.

    Heritage Restoration on North Shore

The period work on the North Shore is modest by nature: simple mouldings, plain porch posts, honest floors. That subtlety is exactly why it disappears. It is easy to convince yourself a bungalow has nothing worth keeping and then take out the thing that gave it its character.

We would rather work out what is original first. Restoring a house like this is mostly restraint, and knowing what to leave alone is a skill you learn on buildings far older than these.

We work Frazier Avenue, the streets around Coolidge Park and across the rest of 37405. More on North Shore and the neighborhoods we build in.
